Description
This top plate will fit the following Bang & Olufsen models:
Beogram 6002
Beogram 6006
Beogram 8000
Beogram 8002
(Will also fit Beogram TX, but is not glossy).
Finish: Plain black brushed anodized aluminium.
The new trim strip comes with protective film on the surface and self-adhesive backing.
This is the top plate (“trim”) only, – not a complete cover. (A new acrylic cover base can be found here).
Note that the top plate should be aligned to the rear edge of the dustcover – not to the forward edge of its recess.
Correctly fitted, there will be 1-1,5mm ridge between the forward edge of the trim plate and the forward edge of the recessed area it sits in. Compare to the original for reference.
Note: The backing adhesive is VERY strong. When the backing paper is removed, you have only one go!
It is therefore adviseable to practice a couple of times before removing the backing paper to get a feel of the job. Calling in a couple of helping hands could also be advised.
